NYC 911 Call Center

H&L Electric completed the power and low-voltage infrastructure installation for 325 call-taker positions at the City of New York’s Main 911 Call Center. The scope of work included installation of a new power distribution system featuring multiple UPS systems, generators, PDUs, automatic transfer switches (ATS), switchgear, DC control power supplies, mimic panels, and static transfer switches.

The project also included new radio systems with racks, antennas, dispatch systems, and associated cabling. Communications infrastructure included wiring for all 325 call-taker positions, requiring four telecommunications rooms, fiber optic cabling, coaxial cable, CAAT5e, 25-pair cable, and 7-pair shielded cable. Extensive underfloor cable tray systems were installed to support system reliability. A full grounding system was installed to protected the highly sensitives electronics installed
